The Benefits of Thermoplastic

• When Thermoplastic is heated to 450 degrees it liquefies. When applied at this temperature it melts into the upper surface of the asphalt, forming a thermal bond. Thermoplastic is typically applied at 90 to 125 mils thick; it is oil resistant and has superior bonding strength.
• Thermoplastic has glass beads mixed in with the product and at the time of application the glass beads remain on the top increasing reflectivity and safety.
• Thermoplastic has a useful life of 2-4 years.
