Wakeman Boys & Girls Youth of the Year

Mark Kelly of Easton, CT and Safety Marking Inc. in Bridgeport sponsors WBGC Youth of the Year program, a virtual celebration honoring outstanding youths for 2021. Since 1947, Youth of the Year has been Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s premier recognition program, celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Club members. Each year, two exceptional Club members are selected to be the Boy & Girl of the Year from each Clubhouse. The Organization’s Youth of the Year is then selected. These extraordinary members serve as both an exemplary ambassador for Wakeman Boys & Girls Club youth and as a strong voice for all of our Club’s young people.

Wakeman Boys & Girls Club’s Youth of the Year goes on to contend for the Connecticut Youth of the Year title. The journey then continues to the Northeast Regional Youth of the Year, and ultimately six finalists will advance to the National Youth of the Year event to vie for the title of Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s National Youth of the Year.
