NEW Catholic Charities’ Thomas Merton Family Center

Our partners at the Thomas Merton Center brake ground with an outpouring of support from the community. The ceremony featured speeches from community leaders, Bishop Frank J. Caggiano, CCFC Executive Director Mike Donoghue, TMC Executive Director Bill Colson, Representative Jim Himes, Mayor Joe Ganim, Councilman Jorge Cruz, Sr., and State Senator Tony Hwang. The Thomas Merton Center has done incredible work in Bridgeport for the last 50 years and this new facility will help them continue to do this important work for the greater community. With a new space, The Thomas Merton Family Center will expand its services to include medical health care, mental health care, ESL classes, parenting classes, and immigration services all under one roof.
